If you have ever been a BGA member, or are one now, we are offering you the incredible opportunity to renew your BGA membership for FREE. That's right. We want you to be a part of the revolution that is the Barista Guild.
In the past year we have implemented many changes, and have things coming in the next year that will be incredible. The new BGA Certification is now available, and there were many people who took advantage of the opportunity to become certified at the SCAA Expo in Atlanta this past weekend. Lots of BGA members took advantage of their class discounts, and discounts with our partner companies.
We want you, and need you, and am making this as easy as possible. We have created a website where you can renew your membership online, and for a limited time, you can do so for free. This offer ends May 1st, so do it now! You can sign up by clicking here:
https://www.signmeup.com/site/reg/register.aspx?fid=RH2V5K7
Again, we thank you so much for your support, and promise we are doing all we can to make the BGA everything you want it be, heck, we want it to be. If you can think of something you want out of the BGA that you don't get now, please don't hesitate to let me, or anyone on the BGA Executive Council know! We work for you! Viva Barista!

Done. It was pretty easy too, took about 2 minutes. Looks like a discount for new membership as well?

Good idea here.
Price is definitely right for renewal. Of course also opted for a T so make that $20:-)

One of those things that makes me go hmmmm. Is it just me that finds it ironic that the most appropriate discussion category for starting a new discussion is Off Topic for discussing The Barista Guild of American on BX, the self proclaimed world's premiere online community for the specialty coffee industry? Seems to me the BGA is highly On Topic.

On another note, is the BGA Forum permanently dead? Has the rise of BX made a BGA Forum obsolete?
Mike,
I couldn't see where the best place to put this was, and tried to figure it out, and I agree is is very On Topic, but there wasn't a discussion board for that, and so, I just put it here. Maybe I should put one in another, too, but which would you put it. BTW, the BGA website is awaiting release on the SCAA's new site, and should happen within a couple of months. It didn't disappear because of this site, it disappeared because of the impending overhaul. Thanks for your continued support of the BGA!

Yeah this discount on new membership is awesome! I just signed up. How can I learn more about the Barista Certification test? How much is it? Do I have to go through classes prior to testing or can I just test out of the classes and be certified?
