Event Description

New month, new venue. Austin's August throwdown will be hosted by Thunderbird Coffee on Koenig Lane. You know the drill. Pay up, throw down, walk away with some cash. Or just show up and chill with some pretty rad people.

Thunderbird will have cheap beer flowing, some tasty om-noms to chow, and a few surprise prizes for the winner, runner up, and one lucky barista in the crowd.

Like Uma says - be there or be (draw a square with your index fingers)

Okay, so let's think about this for a second. I just watched that video that Christopher posted, and it's odd. The guy could have pulled the shot better, but lets chalk it up to nerves (he did seem nervous). And correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't an…

I think this is the best solution. I'd put something like that below samples of different cup sizes (8, 12, 16oz works for me). Sounds nice to only have one size for simplicity, but it seems excessively simple. A few limited options won't kill you.

You're gonna make me defend the Green Monster? 'Kay.. Look, it's pretty damned simple. They used to have a short and a tall drink. People wanted more, so they got a 'grande', because 'taller' sounded even more stupid, and there was a Neoplitian ben…
