Our shop is getting a 2-group Marzocco Linea but in the meantime we may have to make do with a 1-group Rio that's already available for use.  Anyone have experience with using the Rio Junior (or the Astoria Junior) in a commercial setting?  Any concerns for that particular machine outside of it simply being a 1-group?

Juniors are good basic heat exchanger machines. Just know that pulling shots on a heat exchanger machine is a little different than a Linea. Take some time to get to know it. The boiler is pretty big for a one group but you could run into problems with output if you are really busy. And as with any espresso machine if it is not set up correctly it won't work well for you. Make sure it's set up and dialed in, e.g. pump pressure, group head water temp, clean, etc. Also, if your grinder is dirty or has dull burrs there is no way to get a good shot of coffee. Pay attention to your grinder, as well.

If you've taken the time to get it set up you should be fine. They make good coffee. I had a great shot of espresso just the other day at one of my accounts that has a junior.
