Oh sweet! I wonder if any of these big coffee companies will see a loss in their main stores while branching out to fast food chains. Who knows... who cares?
To be honest, I love it. Whether or not the coffee is better or not, if it gets however many million people thinking that they want a higher-grade brew, it'll eventually spill over to the independents. How much money did McDonald's spend advertising mochas and iced coffee last year? More than I can, that's for sure--and if 5% of Mickie D's customers get to like it, and stumble into my shop instead one day, I'm pretty sure the difference in quality in my drinks will keep at least some of them coming back.
That sounds like a win/win for Starbucks and Burger King. I heard that another food chain was switching to Seattle's Best. but I can't remember who, right now. Oh, lol at the drive thru scenario!
Subway selling pizza, Domino's selling sandwiches... I think it's about time all the donut shops started making hamburgers... McDonald's should start selling chili dogs... remember the movie with Sandra Bullock and Stallone, where they unfreeze him in the future... and she tells him about the fast food wars... and how Taco Bell is the only company that survived... and now everywhere is called Taco Bell... Large salty fries and a dark roast... can't ya just taste it...
