What are the best places to get an espresso in NYC

I am planning a trip to New York City and Boston next month, which places should i go to to get the best espresso in town?

9th st, gimme, cafe grumpy, and my personal favorite abaço espresso are all rad.

I could be more helpful recommending cafes in pretty much anywhere else in the world. The sad truth is I have never been there! Maybe it is about time I visited the Big Apple....
