About Me:
I'm 29, been married 7+ years.
I have a 4 year old little girl named Lilly who loves coffee.
My other interests are: theology, music, cycling and reading.
I play sudoku with a pen and I like most people.

I believe that to consider yourself a professional barista you should know more about the industry than how to operate your espresso machine and grinder. Just because you can pour latte art doesn't mean your a good barista. I think baristas should know about different brew methods, varietals, farms and above all the farmers who grow the coffee. Baristas should be educators.
We are the last link in long chain and the industry does not revolve around us.

it's a deal. I actually ended up staying with people that lived fairly close to the Venice store, which kind of blew my mind. I got to chat it up with a pair of Owens, see Grandmaster Glannville training someone, and see Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters make a total ass out of himself... all within one 1 hour! That teamed up with Rubur E's and hydraulic controllable stations made from some awesome times.

I'm on tour (a national tour) with my band and I've been attempting to hit up as many coffee spots humanly possible. I'll be in Irvine tonight and in or around LA until the 20th. I really want to check out Intelli, as well as other coffee spots, should they exist. Anyway, I don't know if you're a) available, b) busy, c) interested in hanging out or whatever, but your thoughts and guidance would be greatly appreciated. i've got a bike...does that sweeten the deal?
