Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
The coffee shop I work at is fairly new. It's only been open for a year and a half and it's always picking up. We use PTs coffee. Currently we're using their Flying Monkey Espresso on a two grouphead Aurelia. We don't have any manual brewing equipment, just airpots. I do want to start introducing manual brewing methods, but am unfamiliar with them. I've been a barista for 1.5 years, but I've only been a serious barista for about 6 months since having my eyes opened by Camp Pull a Shot.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
Aywhere in Europe, Eastern and Southern Asia, Australia
About Me:
I love when customers say how much they love coffee and a good espresso and then ask for a decaf double shot over ice...
About My Company:
My company is Jersey Java and Tea Co. They're family owned and its the first coffee shop they've ever owned. It's a relaxing place thats adult oriented, but family friendly. Most of the customers describe it as a comfortable, yet modern shop where you can study, chat, work, or hold business meetings as we have a number of tables and chairs that can be assembled to form a long table you would expect to see in a conference room. Jersey Java is a fun place to work, and our customers are the best I've ever had the pleaure to serve.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
There are so many different aspects to the industry and all the people involved in each have such a high contagious energy.
