Hey Philadelphia! 

Since the city is across the river from me, I was hoping there might be some openings in some cafes or roasters.

I have 2.5 years experience as a barista and half of that is corporate. I've been a supervisor and manager for most of those years.  I'm currently working on learning latte art and roasting. Admittedly, I've become enamored with roasting and it's my new love.

I roast coffee at home as a hobby and have done so for 3 months now. I've learned a lot about what goes into making the coffee we consume and I want to keep learning more.

I want to send myself to another SCAA event and get certified as a national barista and eventually work my way up to being an event trainer. On top of that, I hope to attend some courses in the Counter Culture training facility in NYC by the mid-summer to further my knowledge and skills as a barista. I like revisiting the basics with a new instructor every so often to learn either a new teaching method (so I can train others properly) or because I want to keep up on industry standards and see if they've changed.
