Alchemy Collective's home made brew bar.  We're still trying to get the funds together to open our worker-owned cafe, but I couldn't wait, plus it looks bad as hell on my table at home.  It's made out of bike chain rings, copper tubes and a glass bottle.

very cool. I assume it's stable?
I'm still working out how I want to stabilize the parts that hold the mugs, but the rest is totally solid. The rings on the top and bottom of the bottle are pulled together tight with tension bolts, so the center is totally stable.
totally.

Totally steampunk'd! Another artistic blending of coffee and cycling!
Given steampunk is our motif, I am jealous!

We are currently working on building a cold drip tower that is steampunked, but it will take a good while.
well done. the guy that built our new pourover bar has been looking for inspiration, i'll pass this along
Friend wanted to know if those were bike gears, and if you had to sand the edges a bit so as not to get cut?
Badass.
Super cool- gotta love creativity!
They are bike gears (chain rings to be technical, the gears are the smaller ones on the back wheel) no I didn't sand them, they were used, so safely blunt. I'm only worried that people might be turned off seeing their coffee go down through scratched up (though very clean) used bike parts.

So good!!! We used copper too, I love it that you used bike parts, we were playing around with that idea at first, I am so glad it's been achieved!! GOOD JOB!!

Phoebe, that's a nice-looking bag of 1000Faces Mwurire! Love what those guys are doing in Athens! Oh, and that's a cool pour bar, yourself!
