Hi, I'm starting a new coffee shop it is small take-out business. Which type of espresso machine should I use to start? I will need something with 110 volts and not to complicated to use.

Perhaps you should find a decent coffee shop in your area and go work for them for six months and learn something about the business.

It will go a long way towards your potential success.
yeah I agree with Jay..6 months minimum to get a base knowledge of some good spro. I also see your in NY...tough place to start without a really good base knowledge. Go check out Gimme! coffee, 9th Street Espresso, Cafe Grumpy and the new Stumptown when it opens (not sure when that is) and get some tips. They all know what they're doing. Coffee is not something that you can learn overnight but you can definitely learn a lot fast. Your in the right spot though! Get your profile going and make some friend and you will learn a lot on bX. Don't be afraid to ask questions and don't be afraid to be the "new guy"...no shame in that. Best of luck!
Ya gotta upgrade to a 220. The 110's will not produce the quality of espresso beverages nor recover fast enough to build credibility with the customer. You will never get a second chance for that "first" impression.
