I'm going to Denver, Col this summer and am going to start researching shops in the area to visit while I'm there. However, are there any suggestions? Musts? First time I'm ever going there and I want to be able to experience as much as I can.

Yeah, no problem! I especially recommend the PluMint (or fresh plum and mint) scones or the apple scones, or the ginger molasses cookies. (this is a somewhat shameless plug as i'm friends with the owner of BeetBox catering, but i wouldn't plug them if they weren't as awesome as they are.)
I've also heard of that Studio 6 thing but haven't been there, a customer at the shop i work at was talking about it the other day though...sounds interesting.
Yea, I'm hoping to get to these places somehow. Obviously I can do the ones within walking distance and I can walk upwards of 6 miles or more but other than that I'll find a bus or something to bring me to the other ones if they are further than my walking range. I'm wondering how much it would cost to bring my bike with me to tour around the city with or if anyone knows a place I can rent one downtown for the days I'm there.

The bus and lightrail system is actually pretty good, stuff is all pretty close though. Like your friend, i live near pablo's (6blks north) and i pretty much walk everywhere. The bike thing is a good idea though, i'm sure there are places that rent them as it is really popular.
