Ok I've heard through the espresso machine discussion that a good grinder is a key factor to a great espresso. I have a burr mill grinder that is small and does the trick, so I think. I've noticed that my coffee taste better using the burr vs. the blade, but what are the specifics about the burr grinder? How much does it actually change the overall taste? I do know that my fresh roasted coffee is the true trump card to great coffee, so to what degree is it going to get better?

A burr grinder is designed to "slice" the coffee, it will give you consistent repeatable results and not produce the coffee dust that a blade makes. The better the grinder the more consistent it is and the finer adjustment you will be able to make.
