I've got a Bunn CWTF Twin APS brewer and the right side won't get above 195*F, which means it hits the beans at well under acceptable brewing temp.
Brand new thermostat is turned up max,
Element gives proper readings on a multimeter,
Shower head clean,

Virtually no scale anywhere in the machine.

Any ideas how I can bump up the temp to at least 200*F??

Thanks!

lower the thermocouple. just push a couple inches of the slack into the tank. if you feel it hit the bottom, you're good. you'll probably get to 200 but not much higher.

Thanks for the response!  I'll give that a try.

I'm not 100% sure it'll help though, the replacement thermostat I was sent has a different bulb size and is much taller than the original...  I wonder if it's picking up temp readings from both the top and bottom of the boiler?

Either way, I'll give it a try this week

Had a few minutes and went ahead and tried lowering the thermocouple,
raised the temp 5-7 degrees, bringing it to about 202F.

Perfect!

Thanks Greg =)

there ya go. glad to help.
