Hey Julie, good luck on opening up your new shop. I've been reading through your posts. If you need any help getting some equipment give me a call. 901.833.4276. I've had a shop for over 15 years & I've worked out some great friends on the equipment side so I occassionally get great prices on equipment. Im not a dealer, I just occassionally get good prices from manufacturers for people (sorta a middle man since I've dealt with these guys alot). I'll help you in any way I can. Mitch

Hey do you use an RSS feed reader? If so I have some blogs I think you should follow for a while... provide info just like bX does (oh, that's how we have all come to tag barista exchange... bx) but sometimes on a little deeper level.

Also... check out www.brewmethods.com for some quick video tutorials.

Try to get out to some trade shows. If you can swing it (I know it's absurdly short notice) really, REALLY try to get out to SCAA/USBC. I think it would do you a lot of good. And also, do try to get in touch with Counter Culture or Intelligentsia (given your location) and get some training through them, they do really great work.

Let's keep the communication lines open. :)
