Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
I work on the office end of coffee -- helping primarily with administrative work and social media management. I currently work for The American Barista & Coffee School as well as Water Avenue Coffee.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
I'm still so new to the industry -- I want to travel anywhere and everywhere and learn more about it!
About Me:
My background is in writing and teaching, and I love utilizing those skills to help nurture coffee education & culture. I am also a certified biodynamic gardener and I am always excited to learn about developments in sustainability practices in coffee, both on the farms and more locally. I love Ethiopian coffee and Ethiopian food, sci-fi & fantasy literature, and my chemex.
About My Company:
I work for two companies currently: The American Barista & Coffee School and Water Avenue Coffee. ABCS is devoted to coffee education and helping people develop their business and hone their barista skills.

Water Avenue Coffee is a coffee shop and roasting company in Portland, OR. We have an incredibly passionate team and strong ties to the local community.

I love both companies, and while I am still very new to coffee, I have learned so much from all of my coworkers.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
The people! The excitement and passion for the industry and the deep respect for all of the steps that go into making a single cup or bag of coffee.
