Profile Information

What is your position in the coffee industry?
barista, manager, barista trainer, home barista, coffee enthusiast, industry professional
Where are you located? ( City and Country )
Hattiesburg
How many years have you been in the industry?
Seven
If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?
maybe
Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
My coffee shop is still in the opening process, but we're hoping to get open soon. Getting coffee from Counter Culture. I'm very excited about their coffee. Very good stuff. Introducing pour-over to Hattiesburg, so I'm both anxious and excited to see how that goes over. Tea from Rishi, also regarded as one of the best. Shops really cool. It's in what used to be an industrial bakery, and there's a huge, fire-engine red water valve system in the cafe which adds a lot of character. There's a loft, and a good size patio, and we have a kitchen with professionally trained chefs working up the menu. Also, a huge warehouse sized event space in the back which is the coolest venue I've ever seen.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
In the US, east coast or west coast. Canada maybe. I would love to return to Italy, or probably even better, Greece or Sweden. Of places I've never been, India is probably the place I want to visit most.
About Me:
Coffee is really the only job I've ever had. I love the coffee business and don't have much interest in any other industry. Also, the cafe I'm currently working at is only in the opening stages, so we don't have a website yet. I am required to leave a website, so please enjoy www.wwujd.com (what would uncle Jesse do?)
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
The people. Coffee is a social medium.
