Show Features

Executive Summit
We are thrilled to make our Executive Summit a permanent fixture on the Coffee Fest line-up of events, carefully crafted to help you build your bottom line. Held on Thursday, March 4, 2010, the Executive Summit titled Survive and Thrive, culls from the industry's most respected professionals to bring participants a line-up of instructors and moderators who act as both guides and coaches -- working with you to help you get the best out of your business. This day-long program serves up marketing and sales advice, techniques and stories to keep the momentum of your business rolling along.

The summit is limited to the first 50 individuals and Pre-Registration is required. The cost is $249 and includes a banquet lunch, book and other materials. Don't miss out on this opportunity!

New Product Showcase - Tinkers Minute
Enthusiasm propels innovation and attendees will see both at the September Coffee Fest.

In the 1820s townsfolk on the frontier would gather when the tinker’s wagon arrived with tin pots, grinders, green coffee and provisions. Marketers in a newly energized new product showcase will have “a tinker’s minute” to describe the most compelling aspects of their offering before a crowd. Judges and attendees will evaluate these products and presentation to proclaim winners by category.

Demonstrations are from 11 a.m. to noon on Friday, March 5, 2010 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center.

The New Products Showcase, sponsored by Specialty Coffee Retailer, will draw attention to vendors on a small stage near the entrance of the show floor as attendees await the show opening on the first day.

In animated Wild West fashion, new product purveyors will deliver their spiel to the roar of the crowd. Pleasing attendees earns 50 percent of the final tally for best product. The magazine and show staff determines the remaining score.

Specialty Coffee Retailer Editor-in-chief Dan Bolton will emcee, said Heilbrunn who urges exhibitors to “Highlight your product and your company and take advantage of yet another opportunity to meet your peers and share your products.”

Winners will be featured in an upcoming issue of the magazine.

Millrock Free Pour Latte Art Championship Roster

This year's Millrock Free Pour Latte Art competition will be more exciting than ever!

The Aroma Challenge

Not sure how to describe that Ethiopian Sidamo? You know the aroma, but can’t quite determine what it is? Try blueberry…was that it or is it hazelnut? Your challenge is to capture the scent and guess which aroma you are receiving from each sample provided.

The challenge will be open on each day during tradeshow hours, testing your skill to break down 36 different aromas in one pass. The top three “noses” will be awarded prizes provided by Coffee Fest exhibitors.

Soy Top Cup Challenge Presented by Pacific Natural Foods

Attendees will have the chance to create their own signature drink with Barista Series Soy from Pacific Natural Foods. The Best tasting and most creative drink will be awarded $300. Any type of drink is acceptable, provided it included Soy Milk.

Looking forward to attending and exhibiting (Booth 220) at Coffee Fest NYC in March, 2010. We want to learn about coffee and share information about tea and tea resources (our Tea Course education will be offered at a discounted price during Coffee Fest and we will represent some of our Tea Bureau members). I look forward to meeting you there, please stop by to say hello. Gail - The Tea House Times
