Number of hours and best time for these hours for the coffee shop owner.

I own a coffee shop and have gone back and forth with how many hours to work or not work behind the bar. I like being a barista but yet i find myself pulled in so many directions that it is hard to committ to shifts behind the machine.

any suggestions? How many hours per week? what time for the shifts? I don't want to work our full 6 hour shifts as i have kids to shuffle and I am not 20 anymore....but i don't want to cut into my other barista's shift and give them short shifts.  Ideally, for me, a mid day shift works great...like 10-2 but that doesnt seem the best for the paid barista's.

Any input would be great and thanks!
