Hi,

So I have been working on a little Mazzer Super Jolly Mod.   Just wandering if there is any interest out there for people to purchase this? See the brass funnel at the bottom of doser shoot.

I was thinking of a price point.... Like $5, just to cover my material and time.

As you can see, the brass aluminum has a nice look.  This thing really helps keep the grounds from going all over the place.  I will post a video if you think you want one.

Just wandering what your thoughts are.

Thanks

Question for the group?   I have noticed on my Mazer, the doser flings the grounds general to the left of the machine.   Is that what others notice?
Yeah, that's been my experience as well. We'll happily take one if you end up deciding to make these. It would save us a lot of coffee.

Hi, Everyone.   I about ready to do this.   I think I have my final version ready to go.  The funnel is hinged, and springy so it can adjust at the top to press firmly to the sides of the shoot at the bottom of the doser. Because of this I assume it will work with other makes and models, not just the Mazzer Super Jolly. I originally thought $7 plus shipping, but I upgraded the construction to use rivets so this is no longer possible.   Also. I will have to ship in little box so shipping will have some cost.   Weight is almost nothing though.   Attached are some pics, and I am working on editing a video to show it in Action. Also, in the pictures is another little mod that keeps the grinds from settling on the adjustment knob, calling the Cone.  These are sold individually but we can combine shipping.   I have not come up with a name yet.  Funnel cost will be $12 and Cone cost will be $13.

The whole look of it is pretty nice with the brass.   I love walking in and seeing the contrasting brass on the silver.  Oh and its not real brass, its aluminum.

Adjustment Bolt Cone

All of it installed.

FWIW the pointy half of a plastic Easter Egg work just like the cone and you get to pick different colors to suite your mood! :)

As promised the little video.   Sorry, I a no video editor and my 7 year old son was working the camera.

I think this thing looks sweet. It would be super helpful to my counter, and for the price it's worth it.

I'd also like to point out that when I read the title of this thread I giggled a bit to myself and thought it would be excellent if it was actually called the Juper Jolly. I mean no disrespect, that's just where my 8-year old brain took me and I smiled. Cheers.

Thanks, I will check on mailing costs today and get back to you.
hmm, looked like a lot of grounds got caught on the cone in the doser(about as much as get caught on the adjustment screw). I like the idea though. If you can invent something to get rid of all the stupid grounds stuck in the exit shoot, then you will REALLY have something.

Ok, I am ready to go on this.   The total package is about 5 or 6 oz (product/box/packing). If I ship via USPS (Continental US) the cost is $7.

 Funnel ($12) + Cone ($12) + Shipping ($7) = $31.00 "Discount for buying both"

 Funnel ($12) + Shipping ($7) = $19.00

 Cone (13) + Shipping ($7) = $20.00

I will ship out as soon as possible after receiving payment.

Please email me your order at: mpscholle@yahoo.com

Thanks

Dustin: Yeah, that would be awesome, I really hate that grounds get stuck in there...

So on the Cone, there is a little bit of left over.  I have done some more tests and found that as long and your not going super slow, the grounds fall off pretty well from the vibrations, but yes there is a small remainder.   As far as the video goes, that was actually the first run at with it.  I was so focused on my son and telling him where to point the camera I was not dosing as I normally would.

So... is anyone interested?   I am ready to go on this.
20 bucks is a BIG jump from 5, that killed my interest.. Just being honest. Cool idea though!
