I worked in Mocha Joe's Cafe for 4 years as a barista and when the opportunity arose for me to work at the Roasting Shop I immediately jumped on it. I have been roasting for over a year now. I love coffee and the daily lessons and challenges that come with being a coffee roaster. I am also a dedicated wanderer and traveler and coffee is an excellent recourse and direction.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
All of them! I would like to visit or re-visit every country or city, except for Naples. I would not like to go to Naples ever again.
About Me:
I live in currently live in Brattleboro, VT with my boyfriend and tenacious spotted hound. I have traveled to Ghana, Italy, Ireland, U.K, Netherlands, almost every state in America, Canada, and most recently Nicaragua. Next I would like to see Cuba and Slovakia.
About My Company:
Mocha Joe's Roasting Company and cafe has been serving Brattleboro for over a decade. We have a small crew of four, all passionately dedicated to the art, science, politics, history, culture and culinary event that coffee represents. We are dedicated to sourcing, roasting and distributing the finest quality specialty coffee available. We offer coffees that are organic, fair trade and rainforest alliance certified because we understand that healthy ecosystems in coffee producing regions and sustainable, equitable trade practices are essential to the work we do here in Vermont.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
No matter how much I know or how good I get I can always learn more.
