It was definitely a fun weekend my friend. It's pretty crazy how much you learn by simple osmosis... my pour has strangely improved since watching your precise pour control. Roast well my friend.
you are wayyy over the top... nobody bussing my dishes should be finding any pleasure in that.. but I think having you around during comps is tons of fun.... coffeefest anyone?
Jesse! What a great time this weekend. Loved throwing down with you and the folks from Ithaca. there's nothing quite like going to a renowned barista's wedding. It always brings out the geeks!
Thanks for noticing my autumn leaf. I get more and more wicked at it as I practice. I have a perfection problem though. I have to purposefully try to screw it up a little bit so that it looks more natural (like yours). Right now they come out like little five pointed star.
Hey yo Jesse! Ya, I got the message with your address. Im workin on sendin ya a lil somethin somethin here in the next few days. Wish I could go to conference this year but don't have the time or mulah. Cheer on our boys in the USBC!
jesse! great to see you here. what brought you to kentucky? we miss you, too. your americanos miss you. i'm not on bar anymore! well, not enough. i do all training all the time. tomorrow i'm gonna do a cupping at Syracuse U... Is it hot there? the carriage house did a coffee pairing dinner for the judges at the barista competition - i hear it was awesome. Chris picked the coffees (from roasters all over new york) and Aaron paired them...
Fuck yes dude!! That's awesome. I was working on the "autumn leaf" today. I can get four, but I need to tweak my timing a little to get five.
Also, the swan is not as hard as you might think. The wings are easy as hell, but to get the body, neck, and head just how you want it is difficult. It just takes practice though, I'm sure you'll be able to do it.
Hey Jesse, my slacker friend Kris claims you wanted to put on a jam or some such. You know, he gets all hopped up on espresso and his tat starts to glow and he doesn't think so good sometimes, but if you need a hand, let me know.
Jesse! thanks for the awesome shot today bro. Very nice! (think Borat) Send me a mailing address and I can send ya some XV espresso and possibly some great Ethiopian Ariche! XV has Brazilian Ipanema Dolce, Sumatra Lake Tawar, and some Ehiopian Sidamo. AWESOME!
Hey Jesse, welcome to Barista Exchange! I saw you were in Louisville which is nice because I have searched the city for a great shot and Sunergos is the best I have found so far. My GF is from Louisville so we visit often and are here till tomorrow (Monday). Would love to roll by and get a shot from ya (did you work with Defurious?).
