Nick, I couldn't agree with you more. Please understand that I mean no disrespect in any way, bro. You are actually a serious influence in my quest for coffee knowledge and understanding. Below is what I posted on the Westword website:
"I just want to clarify some things mentioned in the above interview. In no way was I intending to assume the practices of any fellow coffee professionals. I hold the utmost respect and gratitude for everyone's hard work within the coffee/Barista community. This interview was cut and pasted together from a long conversation by telephone. The tone may seem misunderstood and I want the public to know that I am extremely thankful and honored to be in the company of such highly-regarded teams, such as Intelligentsia Coffee and Caffe Sole. I apologize for any misrepresentation of my own professionalism. Thanks."
I truly hope I have not tarnished myself in your eyes and I look forward to meeting you in person. I admire you contacting me to share your thoughts. Hope to hear from you again, sir... -G

I watched you compete and from my perspective it was really cool. The two part drink was really very simple and still seemed complex. Over all I really wanted to taste it and it looked great from my view. Great job Nick to you, your knowledge, your roaster and your buddies who took 2nd and 3rd.

Take care

It was a treat to watch. Bask in your regional glory and enjoy the road to the USBC.

I saw you at Regionals last year, so I was excited when I saw your welcome to BX. You left it in August, I set my page up and let it sit. You have a beautiful family and I am a big fan of your company and skill. I'll see you at Regionals!

fish=slippery=bath=utero=makes sense.

It may seem ridiculous, but, I've created a group on bX for the likes of portatilfter toting people who aren't afraid to reproduce (and deal with the by-products).

Maybe you can point me to people who are in the same situation? I'd really like to explore what it means to be a coffee professional and a parent.

Was your daughter a butterfly for halloween? Our little girl was a garden gnome, and, while she didn't have a choice, I think it was best for everyone involved.

"This espresso is not subtle, introducing itself to the palate with chewy chocolate covered cherries and then lingering heavy on the tongue and finishing with crisp, sweet citrus. The hallmark of this blend is its body, balance and sweetness. Designed specifically for espresso extraction. " Man that discription makes my mouth water! Wish there was a place in town that served this pretty kitty!

Hey Nick,
Mike invited me so he could get more points but I've been reading and tracking some of his discussions and stuff to just get a little more "wet" in the industry. Did he tell you I finally got my first training session from him at Augie's and I'm kinda hooked. We just have to make more time to play on the machine at home or I can get a sitter like I did the other night and go down to Augie's on a slow night and pull some shots and steam some milk! I have soooo much to learn-but I'm gettin' on board! COFFEE WIVES UNITE AND THIS OUR MEN EXCITES!!!

Nick,
Sorry to derail the altitude brewing questions.. did you ever get anyone who lives in a mountainous area to give you a solid answer?
