Profile Information

What is your position in the coffee industry?
barista trainer
Where are you located? ( City and Country )
jackson, mississippi
How many years have you been in the industry?
6
If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?
no
Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
I work at a locally owned company called Cups an Espresso Cafe. They roast there own coffee. There are about 11 stores right now. Five of which are company run; the rest are franchise. I have worked for Cups in several capacities: barista, assistant manager, and manager. I am good friends with the owner. The company is a part of my life now. I have just started a position as training and retraining manager for the company stores. I love teaching and getting to teach the coffee and drinks I love makes it that much better. However I am new at it, especially retraining. I need to grow my own skills and then give them to others.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
Seattle, WA. Paris, France. All over Africa.
About Me:
I have a wondeful husband (who also loves coffee) and a rambuncious 3 year old. I consider myself fulltime mom, parttime barista, and part time artist. I paint, draw, and read excessively.
About My Company:
Think I said most of this above. It's a company that functions alot like a family- with it's baristas and its customers. It is community and arts oriented. We have won best coffee shop and best barista from the local Free Press paper for over 5 years. We rock.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
Making a latte, and watching the beauty and pleasure light up the customers day. It's just another way to love people.
