Hey Barat-

I'm hanging out in Cedric's place...Java Lounge...in Ames and he told me about this site.

I stopped in at Smokey Row in DM on Thursday morning and left a card with a couple guys. They said Monte and Krista were in ocassionally but it was best to catch them in Pleasantville (makes sense to me).

It will be interesting to see how the DM location turns out. I know it will be a very unique atmosphere...along the lines of Java Joes...good company to be in I might add.

I have decided to take a different approach with your company. I know you are fans of hard-pack ice cream and I have some ideas on how you could make your own premium ice cream using one of our Taylor Batch Freezers. You could create signature flavors, promote the concept of "made-fresh-daily"
increase your profit per serving, use an organic base (if you so choose...Picket Fence Creamery in Woodward has a great product!) make micro batches in the Winter to eliminate old "freezer-burnt" product......
I could go on but I won't.

Just wanted to give you an update on my thoughts.

Have a great Day, I'm sure we will talk soon!

I'm open to anything really. What's a blend that you guys are known for? Let me know if you're ever in Ames. Good luck opening up the Des Moines store.

Hey Barat. The jam is still in the planning process. I'm hoping to have one in mid Feb or early March. You're more than welcome to come down and bring some baristas to participate. You can even bring some of your beans too if you want to sample them out. I've never been to a barista jam, but would like to make an event fun for the baristas and the audience. So if you have any suggestions, feel free to let me know. Right now i'm using PT's for my beans. But i'm always open on trying new beans. Keep in touch.
