Rich, those are some bad ass credentials. 6 years in "De-twa" and now you've got street cred too. YOU, my friend just made the Michigan Coffee People list. I'm a GVSU'er but lots of friends and family who went to WMU. My brother-in-law bartended at Waldo's. He own "The Spill" in Denver now. Another budddy, Brad Tayles (a Canadian) used to QB the Stangs football team. His nickname was "6" for the 6 interceptions he threw his first game. Anyhow, there's some D'Arte coffee here in town, as I'm sure you know. You guys have a clever and unique approach that I admire. Keep in touch!

Hi again Teresa,
Those are beautiful photos of your trip to Costa Rica. I just picked up some Coffee from Terrazu (San Martin de Leon Cortes) after a disappointing couple of years and am very excited. The coffee tastes like your pictures look. Super fruity and citrusy and luscious. I think its cool that you are contemplating a cafe. Take your time. Don't rush into anything or your dream may become a nightmare. Maybe we'll run into each other in Chicago. Keep in touch. Kurt

Hey,
Are any of you Michiganders going to Coffee Fest Chicago? I'm debating whether to go or not.

Ken isn't really my hero. But he's close and I just felt he needed me to say that. You are my real hero in my dreams, (Just stiring things up a bit). Not much activity on the board. We should let people know that they will be interrogated immediately upon posting. lol...

Why are you asking me why Ken Hall is my hero?
Comment by Kurt Stauffer on December 1, 2008 at 8:43pm
Ken Hall is my hero! I'm putting together a list of coffee people with roots in Michigan. For example, Howard Shultz went to Northern Michigan University; Connie Blumenthal is from Kalamazoo; Ellie Matuszak from Marquette; my brother-from-another-mother Ken Hall's mom is from Michigan. Most of these folks tend to move on down the road to bigger, slicker markets because, lets face it, what Michigan lacks in sex appeal it makes up for in grittiness, and coffee just isn't celebrated for grittiness nearly enough. If you know of a coffee folk with a Michigan connection, send me an email at kurt@rowstercoffee.com.

Viral web marketing videos as being advocates for better coffee in the work place? I love this idea. Who has a video camera!?!
