I will drop by a sample or two next time I pass by, if you could tell him to expect me. Or, if you want I can send it directly to you. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

KURT--

Yes, please check us out.
My manager up there is Jonathan.
If you can introduce yourself to him.
Most of the time I'm in Plymouth or in Detroit being a sheriff.

Howell and Plymouth have opposite tastes.
Plymouth is my Organic crowd and Howell is my Portifino/Capone crowd.
I use Coffee Express, Intelligentsia, and KMag up in Howell.
I use Coffee Express in Plymouth.

Rich your two questions answered:

1) No I don't think we have drive-ins anymore :)

2) No money is made at the open mic events. The weekend artists make
money by selling their c.d.'s, t-shirts, and tips. I also give them free drinks and food while their there.
The bands are trying to get their name out there so they know the BEAN attracts a lot of people. Which means of course to them they will get more followers. :)

It was incredible. There's a photo of the goat roasting on my page. The goat was purchased by an Amish farmer who sold it to us live so we had to do the honors. Very humbling experience but almost a right of passage if you eat meat. We had a film crew document it and I may be able to post the edited version somewhere. We plan to do another one soon. Maybe a chicken roast to celebrate a Central American coffee?

Big Boy-Two questions 8-)
1) Are their any longer any Big Boy Drive-In's in Michigan? :-)
2) How do your talented participants make money at your open mic gigs? Do you pay them or do they work for tips?

Bigboy, I will be sure to check you out. Howell is en route to my in-laws. I would love to recommend a local roaster that has quality and price but the only one I know of is Dillanos. But you probably already know that and probably have great relationships with some roasters down your way. I'm a little pricey, have to admit. Love the Michigan latte art, by the way.

Thanks guys and girls for the warm welcome. :)

Teresa--thank you. Yes Open Mic nights rock and my booking agent Jeffree has all weekends booked up with live bands. I would tell anybody who owns a coffeeshop/house you MUST have OPEN MIC nights and Live bands!! Its a must!
My website is www.plymouthcoffeebean.com links right into our myspace too.
My other coffeeshop is called COLORADO COFFEE in Howell and trying to bring the Bean style up there. Website is www.coloradocoffee.biz

Kurt--Thank you for the comment. Yes, I mean business too! I'm suffering also. I look at my sales and say to myself what's going on!!
It only pushes me to work harder Kurt. It's 4:55AM and I'm still at one of my coffee shops! I do what I have to do because I love the business! I know you understand. If you ever need help let me know.

Trevor--Thanks and ditto goes to you. If you ever need help or some advice in your new adventure let me know. Were all in this together. :)
