Kiwis are an inventive and adventerous bunch. A small country of 4 million, perched on the edge of the Pacific Basin, we like to think of ourselves as contributing above our body weight. A NZ'er was the first to split the Atom (Rutherford), climb Everest (Hillary), win the Rugby World cup- and more recently invent flat-whites and the Pavalova.

Kiwis are also found in great abundance outside of their cosy, clean green natural habitat. There are around 30,000 in London alone, and they make up a good proportion of coffee professionals in small Australian cities such as Sydney and Melbourne.

This group is for Kiwis everywhere and anywhere to talk coffee and to network.

NZ Bound: heading down to Auckland and Wellington next week. Will be 5-6 days in the City of Sials before heading down to Welly. Anyone keen to meet up? Coffee? Beer?... any requests for anything from Indo?

Hey Eddie, will probably be after Christmas now. I blew almost all my $$ on Euro when I was there. Tragic. Hoping December will be good to us so we can head down tentatively end of January. Will be to Welly as thats where the olds are. Can pop over the hill for a day trip, maybe stay the night. Want anything from Bandung?

Just got back from Trieste- looked at Lever machines in Southern italy. Now... can anyone give me any idea what is happening in NZ retail wise?? I have seen some cafe businesses for sale at prices that are crazy. These are businesses with solid revenue numbers....

Any of you making the trip to Trieste next month? Would be nice to met some fellow Kiwis up there! If not, I am probably coming back home for a visit real soon, would love to pop in and say hi to some of you

Haha, 2 Wellingtonians and an Aucklander. You need to get Carl signed up, then we will be 3+a Mainlander! 7 months? My little guy is 10.5 months now. Grandparents coming up to Singapore for his first.

And then there were three!

Hey Paul, I'm getting there slowly. It's a bit hard to stop playing with my wee man (now 7 months) and get a into g! I'm still working for my old Roastery in the UK adapting a Barista Training Program I designed so at least I've still got my nose in the grinds...so to speak!

Really dying to get down to Wellington and get a feel for things down there. It's where coffees at right! x

Hi all. Living in Wellington. Previously worked as a barista while studying...Now I pretty much just enjoy drinking the stuff. How is the empire shaping up Claire?
