Hi Alun,
I live in NYC with my wife. We have a couple from back home coming over pre-Christmas and then for the following 3 weeks. Should be fun. I'm looking forward to a bit of time off, we'll most likely be showing them around the city, the usual tourist stuff but hopefully a bit of an insider's view.
Hopeflly I'll have a few spare hours to have a bit of a tutu with my new hottop which arrived last night. You ever used one? I digress.....
Hopefully we get a bit of snow. It's a long way from the beach, jandals and a bbq.
What about you?
Hey Pangi! Sounds like you have it well planed out, excellent! We will most likely be in Jakarta for Christmas. I have a lot going on now outside of Indonesia and most likely will be working mainly on projects in Singapore, Korea and (hopefully) NZ next year. I would really love to be down in Wellington fo Christmas, but maybe next year. We for sure will head down Feb or March, when the weathers a bit warmer you know! Was down there March last year, in Raumati, and it was glorious.

Never used a hottop but have played around on a host of other home roast units that came out the same time or before (the Alpenroast and similar ilk). They are fun and you can get some good results on them. If you have not sorced your greens yet yu could try Tom at sweetmarias.com He has a great selection of greens but sadly not too much from Indonesia.

Anyway, have a great one!
Hi Alun!

Good to hear from you! The weather in Wellington / Wairarapa has this morning (Christmas Eve) turned to sh_t and it's overcast and has been raining for a while now! Never mind, we're snug and warm enough in our loghouse and have firewood.... ;-) and have a few kg of Bolivian organic, so we're set!

Having a quiet Christmas with my wife and her family in Carterton, then 3 weeks of working on the house to get it ready for winter (ie weatherproof). FUN!

Have a great break, enjoy the company and be well!

Hey Eddie, sounds like Christmas just as I remember it. I think I mentioned, my grandparents lived in Maserton for a few years, we used to drudge over the Rimatakas from the Hutt to visit. It was rarely a day when the BBQ could be rolled out, rather as you mention... a wee bit cold and wet! Sounds like you are well set though. I will call the olds tomorrow to say hi. Will be thinking of you all back in NZ. Be well and Merry Christmas!
