I love it! I have also seen sites where artist use used coffee filters as their medium. I can't find the old link I had, but it was a Victorian gown made entirely of coffee filters.

Imagine having a coffee painter in your community... you can supply them with all your old coffee and bad shots and they can supply you with art for your walls.
All those used coffee grounds... strike a deal with a local gardener, garden club or landscape company.... you provide the grounds they provide some flowers or plants.
Contact your local High School art instructor (or art club)... have an art challenge & exhibit (coffee themed of course).
I'm still hunting for that link to the coffee filter fine art (not kids crafts). If you find any could you post them here please? -
