Yesterday I heard/noticed the steam boiler pstat on one our Lineas acting weird. Instead of it's normal .3-.4bar deadband it was constantly toggling .1bar on/off, and of course much more frequently. Fiddled with it's adjust and it raised/lowered pressure fine, but kept .1bar toggle. Then suddenly today about 24hrs after noticing the behavior it would back to normal deadband swing. Talked with my goto for help tech and he's never seen this. Anyone ever seen this behavior on a Sarai or any other pstat for that matter?

To be on the safe side I do have a replacement ordered.

I think it'd be a good idea to inspect the tubing that is attached to the stat. I've seen a kind of atherosclerosis of sorts that collects inside the tubing that can lead to a stroke of sorts for the stat. Simply put, inspect both the stat and its tubing for gunk.

I've also solved similar problems by disassembling the stat to lubricate its armature, file its electrical contact points that might have blackened and become misshapen, and inspect its diaphragm for gunk or deterioration. Doing these things has saved me and some shop owners the expense of a new stat. I know that Nouva Ricambi sells a rebuild kit for them... Good luck!

Didn't find a rebuild kit on Nuova Ricambi's site but since the whole thing new was only $36 (after discount) already ordered one.
