Am looking for somebody with experience to start up a coffee cafe in the beautiful and modern city of Abuja Nigeria. We are in need of a good coffee cafe in this city. There are alot of international employees and the locals love good chai. They have good locations with lots of foot traffic. I would expect the market there would be good. A lot of the oil expats I know here in Indonesia have come via the oil business in Nigeria- along with manufacturers such as Cussons, Glaxo etc. I do understanf though that doing business in Nigeria is not that easy. Its not that easy here either! The Beauracracy and lack of transparency (corruption at legal/governmental level) would have to be something a potential partner would need to understand I think. For me- it is part and parcel of business...for many of these posters on BX they would flip out if they could see exactly what I am talking about :))
Yes you are very right. Lots of foreign expatriates in the oil and gas industry, embassies , united nations and other international companies. The corruption is high in goverment but the private sector one can operate without any interference . It can be done and there is alot of money to be made.
