Getting a little further into the world of coffee and saving a little cash for a home burr grinder. Seen so many reviews of burr grinders for home use. I would like suggestions for grinders under 200 & 150 that people may have or no longer have (for obvious reasons).

Thanks,

Erik

I have a Breville Conical Burr grinder for my lab, where I primarily make single cup pour-overs or Chemexs. I have had no problems with this grinder, though it is not good enough for quality espresso (you probably wont find that in your price range). This one was $100 dollars, which makes the price right in my mind.
Erik,
The grinder i have and the grinder i most consistently see high end coffee shops selling for home brewing is the Baratza Virtuoso grinder. It has conical burrs and a really low burr speed, so your coffee stays cool and all the flavor is retained. It has 40 grind settings that range from press to some espresso grind settings. It's great for the all around home brewer. Those are about 200, but you can buy a reconditioned one from baratza for much less
The Baratza is a good recommendation if you aren't looking to do espresso.

I would also suggest the Lelit PL043. I have not used this grinder, but it comes highly recommended from people I trust.

Someone posted a question similar to yours on CoffeeGeek.com a couple weeks back.

Here is the link:
Best burr grinder (espresso only) around $200?.

Good luck.

Thank you for the replies, this definitely narrows it down.
