Hario Skeleton Mill
I am looking to get a grinder for home, but I don't have a ton of money to shell out. I have been trying to look into reliable hand mills and have noticed a lot of people using the Skeleton mill by Harion. Is it adjustable? What are the burrs like? Is the grind consistent?

I haven't tried the Hairo one....but, I really like my Zassenhaus. You can get them from sweetmarias.com Conical burr, infinate adjustment. I have the knee mill model and I couldn't be happier with it. THe only down side is that the stepless adjustment is a littl loose so you have to keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't "self adjust". The hopper holds just the right amount for a french press.

Haven't tried that grinder either but have been recommending the GSI Outdoor "Java Grinder." I got it as a no frills packable grinder for camping, not expecting much, and was totally surprised by how well it works. The burr-set is ceramic and conical and easily adjusts (not an infinite adjustment but pretty close...the crank is removable for transport and mounts via a squared off shaft. A wing nut holds the crank to the square drive and is adjustable-moving the spring tensioned shaft up or down, four adjustments per full rotation. More than enough for most people). The grind is as consistant as I've seen from any grinder and it doesn't take forever to grind up enough for whichever brewing method you choose...except turkish...that takes awhile. Best part...$20.
