Ouch! So I just really hurt my thumb and to a lessor extent my ring finger. Yeah, yeah, stretching blah blah blah. I know what I should do to prevent injuries, but any advice on what to do after? Icing and advil doesn't help much, and I unfortunately cannot step away from the bar for very long. Any advice appreciated.

On my friggin tamping hand, of course.
Hey, that wasn't inferred, man. I've injured my left (non-tamp) hand before, and have had a hell of a time trying to operate. You could always try palming the tamp more, and using more of your actual palm fat than your thumb. But then again, I'm probably talking out of my ass here.
Oh, I wasn't sassing you dude. I'm just pissed off.

I've tried to use my palm more, but the tamp comes out more uneven and puts more stress on my also aching wrist. I'm falling apart!
