Event Description

World Barista Champion Stephen Morrissey and Master Barista Trainer Ellie Matuszak invite you to attend a new coffee course focusing on the essentials of competing in Barista Competitions, including the most current trends and new rule changes. Over the course two days, students will have hands-on experience and learn strategies for delivering an outstanding performance to best represent their companies.

Curriculum includes practice strategies, technical and sensory techniques, and confidence on stage. Learn from the world's best how to get the most from your competition experience!

This lab is focused on teaching first-time and/or second-time (although all are welcome) barista competition participants to navigate the nuances of the USBC and USBC regionals to maximize success for new baristas in these competitions. We will be emphasizing ways for you to improve your scores and overall barista skills both for sensory and technical as well as developing overall confidence on stage to deliver the best results in representing your company. Bring your own espresso blends for custom evaluation and technique development.

Class size is Limited. Two Day Intensive Workshop is $500 per student and includes lunch both days.
