While traveling through El Salvador recently, I, Jeff Taylor, interviewed Raul "Beto" Ochoa at his farm in El Salvador. Ochoa lost his coffee crop to "cyclone like" conditions in early January. Here he tells the story of what happened as he sits on what was the roof of his house in El Salvador. Mike Perry of Coffee Klatch was traveling with me. The video is in spanish, we are working on the translation.

Jeff didn't your spanish classes do any good? =)

I did a quick translation below:

"How did this happen? How did this blow away?

The night of the 2nd of Jan around 9:00 p.m. the wind began so strong - I was concerned. We hid.

Around 1:00 am the wind destroyed this structure and took out those and power lines and damaged that post.

I saw the farm when I went to be blue sky, green leaves and red ripe coffee.

The next day when I awoke everything was destroyed and I was in a state of terrible panic. Pain in my knees and everything destroyed.

But here I am. I won't give up. I will press on."
