hey Brian..probably wont make itto Charlottte in Nov unless the staffing gods are smiling upon me...sound familiar?Life is good, business is great, I would like to hire about 3more baristi to help round out the hours but..Im alive and doing well. Hope all is well there in my old town. Hopefully I will getdown thereagain soon. I miss the beach , and the sun, and the seafood, and...
There are lots of hotels in the area for staying, but we have a guest bedroom just for people just like you. (Well, and the in-laws occasionally.) I do have to warn you, though, I do have a Wii, and it is addictive! Just let me know, we'd love to have you at the jam!
Well, I know that the word "macchiato" means "marked with", or "flecked with", or "stained with" in Italian.
Therefore Espresso Macchiato should translate to espresso marked with something like milk....and by default we always use warm milk to mark the coffee. You can be correct with a dollop or a free pour of steamed milk, in my opinion, but I personally enjoy the free-pour better.
Incidentally, Starbucks is also correct. They use the macchiato term in reverse, if you will...a glass of steamed milk with a mark of coffee and also a mark of caramel when it comes to that drink they are so famous for.
Cheers on a Macchiato, buddy!
hey Brian..you've been open 5 months, I've been open a little more than 2. How are you doing? Are you getting any time away? Everything good? I am doing well, starting to do a very brisk lunch business, and the coffee thing is picking up, too!!! I have never been more tired or more excited to go to work. Just craving a little balance right now.Keep me posted on your shop, it's great to be in touch w/someone who is about where I am, business wise.
hey Brian! This is actually ths first I've been on since I opened my shop a few weeks back....I will be back in Norfolk hopefully in the fall. I checked out your website...pretty cool! Oh how I miss Norfolk...I say as the snow flies outside! Keep up the great work!
Hi Brian...I am a transplanted Norfolkian living in Northeastern PA right now....I miss Norfolk , especially this time of year. Good to hear you bringing something great to town.
