Thanks Jill - great to meet someone with the same passion - it's what makes it all worthwhile. I love the same thing - finding just the right drink for a customer who has no idea what they might like is really cool. And I am so encouraged by the reactions to the explanation of the fair trade model.

You should have a look at CommuniTea Café in Canmore Alberta.
Marnie (owner) has the same business model. "My passion to unite an awesome community with a great cup of coffee is what drives me" I really enjoyed being part of the opening team last year. And of course great coffees and teas ;-)

Hi Jill -- Your shop looks great! I was hoping to come up to Emmaus sometime and check it out. I'm opening a coffeehouse in Reading sometime late summer -- opening date is still TBD, and would love it if maybe we could chat sometime about your shop, any challenges you had, and the good, the bad, and the ugly of being an owner. I'm so encouraged to see that there are some high quality shops opening in this part of PA.
