Come over! March may be leaving it a bit late for catching most of the harvest in Sumatra, but what the heck! My door is always open to any BXer landing on these tropical shores. Got 4 coming to Java August- will post a blog on how that visit works out. Have chatted at length with Thomas F, even meet up with him for a quick vegetarian meal at Jakarta Airport about 2 years back. Interesting guy- spent the early 70's here in bali with the Peace Corp and fell in love with Indonesia. They have coffee coop work in North Sumatra and spice work elsewhere.
Gidday Jim, saw a comment of yours on Pangi's profile. Just guessing, but if you are doing Sumatran and you are based in Vermount, assuming its with FloresTrade (Thomas Frieke). I am lucky enough to be based in West Java- still a good haul by plane and 4wd to Takengon and Lake Tawar- but nice to be nestled amongst a lot of village growers
Hey Himbo! How's it going? Rio Negro was amazing! What an absolutely gorgeous farm. AND it was me that got hurt...haha, my horse fell during the tour. It wasnt as bad as it sounds though. Your pic of Jardin are rad. I hope I get the chance to check it out one day.
