Hi- I know this is random but I'll be in Dublin in a few weeks and I'd like to check out the coffee scene while I am there. Have any reccomendations for me?
Hi Damian!
So you work in Bewleys.... I was able to attend to a lecture from Mr. Paul O'Toole in Moscow this year, very interesting! Thank you for adding me.

Cheers! Demians, Damians, Damions, Damianos, and Damjans unite!
Just read about Bewley's increased fairtrade commitment. SOPPEXCCA is an amazing organization and Fatima Ismael is a badass. Glad to see you're working with them.
haha ya it's without a doubt a freakazoid situation. I'd love to see the pics of the CMA, sounds like a cool project. Afraid the closest I've been to Ireland is witnessing Mr. WBC himself at the Canadian nationals. Lovely guy!
Hi!
Hey it's neat that you're in tech repair. We're working on some interesting things at my shop currently (ever have line pressure at 8 bar!?!). Yikes. We're having fun with it, installing a pressure reducing valve (that helps a great deal). Have any crazy repair stories?
Cheers From Ottawa, Canada

I like them but did have a few ups and downs with some of the blends we tried. I'm open to coming up to bewleys to sample some wares! Could do with getting some fresh ideas too.
Never did work out what the problem was - the guys who restored it came in to sort it out. It looks like something was loose but I wasn't around to poke my nose into it to see what was what.
cool cheers for forwarding the info :) and knowing your on the panel of judges will only make me worse haha, I was making coffee for one of our reps the first time I met him, and i was shaking with nerves I nearly dropped the latte! Feck it i need to get over it I'm gonna enter woohoo! can ya just enter the actual IBC straight away or is there a qualifier first or something?
Using Matthew Algie. Funny, your doing work there. I've tried to get out there to see what exactly they do and why does our milk change it's frothing properties! They never seem to get back to me though.
Working in the Marble City Tearooms for Langton's Group. I definitly be entering this year so going to get my sig drink started. last year i didn't do any prep or practice but some how managed to keep in the 15 mins! You down in Kilkenny ever?
hey damian how are ya? I really should enter the competitions, i just have a serious phobia about gettin up in front of loads of people!! As soon as i get over that I'm definitely there. Was thinking about entering the IBC this year, I think that if I just apply then I won't back out :) hmmm somethin to think about in the coming weeks! Have you ever visited Cafe Depeche while down in Cork? You'll have to stop by for a coffee some time

Yeah, was up in dublin last year for the ibc. Didn't go to bewley's before though. Always open to offers though! How's tricks in bewley's at the moment anyway? Trade a bit up and down in Kilkenny at the moment and coffee shops opening up everywhere. When's the IBC on next year? I suppose i better start doing things now as we all have to live up to Stephen!
