Hello, Steve. Thank you for your comment. I'm working as an international intern at a cafe in Seattle. I'm studying about coffee and improving my English there. I'm an infant barista!
Hi Steve- Thanks for the welcome- I needed to get with the program here for a while, I couldn't go to another CoffeeFest and have Bruce Milleto ask me again if I'd joined yet. Love the "Pirate drinking Coffee" pic you've got there.......
Hi Steve- thanks for the welcome! Coffee culture is just awakening in SA but we're getting there! I'll try to ad a bit of our local perspective to your online community. I'm sure to learn tonnes from "old hands" & hope to cross polinate that into our neck of the woods.
Thanks! Wow, talk about a whirl-wind weekend. I have just worked 60 hours in the cafe since Friday night... just getting back to check this. I mentioned that I joined to a roaster that came to drop off a delivery to me at my second job and he was really happy to hear I'm getting more and more opportunities to explore what I love to do.
Thanks Steve. I signed up here mostly so I could read my friend Von's blog while he's away in South Africa. He's the owner of Bisogno, my favourite coffee shop. Check him out (Von Flores). And stop by the cafe next time you're in Toronto. :-)
Aloha from Honolulou, Hawaii Steve! Our Cafe, Downtown Coffee, donates money every month to "Coffee Kids". After joining, they sent us a mug and various info. brochures on what they are all about. I love drinking with the mug... makes me feel awesome!
Unfortunately i'm not a wonderful morning person, so i try to keep my words to myself until around noon. The whole If you have nothing nice to say mantra right? Well i'm off to my shop to set up christmas decorations and make myself a cappuccino and practice my latte art. Have a great weekend too!
