Coffee Kids' Partner Opens Training Center, Celebrates 20 Years

This past weekend (Nov. 21-23), I traveled down to Oaxaca, Mexico, to attend the 20th Anniversary celebration of Coffee Kids’ partner, CAMPO. They also dedicated their new training center, which they built with support from Coffee Kids.

Coffee Kids 20th Anniversary DVD Now Available

CK Staff Presents in Nicaragua

From September 1-4, 2008, Coffee Kids’ program staff attended Ramacafé 2008 in Manauga, Nicaragua. More than 300 participants from 16 countries (mostly from Central America) attended the event.

Coffee Families Confront the International Food Crisis

While consumers in the United States fret over gas prices, a food crisis threatens millions around the world. Coffee Kids staff visited with families in the states of Chiapas and Oaxaca, Mexico and learned about the effects of the international food crisis and how they are confronting the problem.

Juana Sisimite is an artisan project instructor working with Coffee Kids' partner Association for Sustainable Development of Paraxaj (ADESPA) on their Technical Work Training Program. Interesting Fundraising Idea

I read a blog this morning about an interesting fundraising idea being used in a coffee shop called Kurekure in Melbourne, Australia. Here's the blog where it appeared originally. The coffee shop gives patrons a card to let them know when their orders are ready. When the patron returns, the shop has a variety of trays where patrons can return the card.
