Australian Open 5 days to go.

Well with just 5 days to go until I strut my stuff on the stage for the open round of the Australian Barista Championships, I am starting to wonder if I am either too organized or something very vital has been forgotten. My grinder and equipment have all been sent on a pallet to Queensland, all we have to do is lug about 30kg of coffee up with us on the flight ( not quite as much as we took to Denmark for Dave's world gig).

WBC Judges Certification

Congratulations to all the judges who passed the WBC judges certification. Dave said it was quite challenging. I was lucky enough to be there as a barista where I was able to get a real insight into the level of judging that is expected, as well as a taste of how much judging has the potential to improve more over the next few years.
Thank you to Emily, Brent, Justin, Chris, volunteers, judges and Box Hill Tafe for an enjoyable, exhausting and rewarding couple of days.
