Profile Information

What is your position in the coffee industry?
barista
Where are you located? ( City and Country )
Truckee, California USA
How many years have you been in the industry?
4
If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?
yes
Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
Coffeebar Truckee has been my home for the last two years, serving exceptionally high quality coffee. We source exclusively C1 grade, organic direct trade beans and utilize the roasting services of Agtron Inc. in Reno, Nv. Our equipment setup is a 3x group GB-5 La Marzocco and dual Mazzer Robur grinders. We are a high volume cafe serving around 300-350 per day while delivering quality latte art with every cup ordered (even during busy hours). My coffee experience began in a Starbucks competitor's shop in Toledo, Ohio before I made the move to the Sierra Nevada mountains. It is over the last two years that I have been fine tuning my craft, palette, service and accuracy.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
I am interested in traveling through Europe at some point within the next decade. I would suppose I will tour through the main coffee tourism destinations across the US before embarking elsewhere.
About Me:
I am a 22 year old barista and craftsman interested in all things craft related. I believe it is through marketable skills and craft that an individual can move freely from town to town, offering his trade as he moves for the welcome of those who inhabit that place. I believe public art is something that more cities need to embrace and I wish to make coffee and art where ever I travel.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
Coffee is a common ground for all peoples across all language barriers and borders.
