What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
San Francisco, Rwanda and El Salvador.
About Me:
Born and raised in the Mini-apple. I am a huge Prince fan. I like that my city has a bunch of independently owned cafe. Right now, my favorites our Kopplin's Coffee and Common Roots Cafe. I am a long distance runner and all I think about at the end of my run is a savoring a hot cup of java, especially in the wintertime.
About My Company:
Peace Coffee: It's simple. It's fair. It always tastes and feels better.

We are committed to coffee producing communities.
All our coffees are 100% fair trade, certified organic & shade grown. Since 1996, we’ve been buying our beans direct from farmers, providing pre-harvest financing, and roasting them as well as we know how. We’ve changed the supply chain by co-founding Cooperative Coffees, a coop of roasters formed to import 100 percent fair trade coffee direct from the farmer coops that grow it. This has allowed us to develop equitable and sustainable relationships that positively affect the farmers, their families, their community and the end coffee consumer.

We have a unique ownership model.
In 1996 we were started by the Minneapolis based non-profit, the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy (IATP), whose mission is to create environmentally and economically sustainable rural communities and regions through sound agriculture and trade policy. A portion of our annual profits goes to support their work.

We operate in an environmentally conscious way.
If there is an opportunity for polluting less, then we’re for it. We’re housed inside an eco-friendly building in the heart of south Minneapolis. Year round we use bicycle delivery to drop beans at all of our Twin Cities accounts big and small, rain or shine. Deliveries to the surrounding metro area are made with a big, bright biodiesel (veggie fueled) van. All of our coffee is certified organic and shade grown, which means there are no chemical inputs, biological diversity is preserved and native rainforests are not cut down for any of the coffee production.

We call it quality.
We micro roast coffee in small batches according to the orders we receive. This provides the freshest coffee possible. To ensure our bean consistently tastes the way the roasters intended, we sample our coffee everyday. This way only the great tasting coffee leaves our doors.

We cultivate a healthy, positive and inspiring workplace.
We offer full healthcare and dental, vacation and sick time, opportunities to meet farmer partners, birthday lunches and lots of free coffee.

We like to share.
We are active in our community and contribute to the local economy because we believe vibrant, healthy communities are integral to a fair trade world. We love giving roastery tours, presentations at schools, churches, and community centers. We partner with lots of local non-profits to promote issues close to our heart such as alternative transportation, sustainable food systems and cross-cultural exchanges. We also donate coffee and auction items to over 300 community events a year.
