Profile Information

What is your position in the coffee industry?
barista, home barista, coffee enthusiast
Where are you located? ( City and Country )
Santa Clarita, CA United States
How many years have you been in the industry?
three years
If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?
yes
Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
Side-note:
My biggest dream for as long as I could remember is to someday open my own coffee house.
It will happen.

I learned to make my first latte while job shadowing Mitch McMullen of the Newhall Coffee Roasting Company when I was in high school. Since then I've worked at Coffee Kiosk for awhile, then at Java Dave's Coffee in Saugus for the longest while, I spent seven months as an on demand at home barista in Europe, I moved to Pennsylvania with nothing else except the clothes on my back and my espresso machiene - came back to California after five months, and I'm currently lucky enough to work at the Railroad Cafe in Newhall. To me coffee is an artform.

Once a barista - always a barista.
About Me:
Colors by Shel Silverstein

My skin is kind of sort of brownish
Pinkish yellowish white.
My eyes are greyish blueish green,
But I'm told they look orange in the night.
My hair is reddish blondish brown,
But it's silver when it's wet.
And all the colors I am inside
Have not been invented yet.

Forgotten Language by Shel Silverstein

Once I spoke the language of the flowers,
Once I understood each word the caterpillar said,
Once I smiled in secret at the gossip of the starlings,
And shared a conversation with the housefly
in my bed.
Once I heard and answered all the questions
of the crickets,
And joined the crying of each falling dying
flake of snow,
Once I spoke the language of the flowers....
How did it go?
How did it go?

"Coffee should be black as hell, strong as death, and as sweet as love."
-Turkish Proverb

"Tea should be as bitter as wormwood and sharp as a two edged sword"
-Kit Snicket [Lemony Snicket]

Alex [Notafish] - "Who will I leave the dishes for..?"

Dakota - "Okay heres what you're gonna do.. swim across the Atlantic Ocean and make a hard right when you hit New York. A hard right! Keep on going in a general western direction until you get to Montana - Colorado area. Then you vear left; and when you get to LA give me a call and I'll come pick you up."

Katathin - "The speakers go like eeereghghsarasklfhjsdfh!!!"

Aeon Flux - "You can't give it, can't even buy it, and you just don't get it."
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
Knowing my work is enjoyed.
