What is your position in the coffee industry?
barista, barista trainer, home barista
Where are you located? ( City and Country )
San Diego, United States
How many years have you been in the industry?
3 years
If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?
yes
Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
I gained my training in Newport RI at a cafe called Empire Tea and Coffee. From there I learned even more about coffee from my trip to Italy 2 years ago. After that trip I moved to San Diego where I continued my training with a European cafe called Caffe Vergnano. A shop that stressed true authentic Italian coffee drinks. And for the past 2 years I have been working with a coffee shop called Turquoise Coffee where I have become the coffee manager doing coffee ordering, recipes and training.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
Anywhere in the United States or in the world but would love to go to New Zealand.
About Me:
About 3 years ago I got trained in a cafe in Newport RI and it was then I fell in love with coffee. After some traveling I landed in San Diego and found a cafe there that I have been working at now for 2 years. There I am the coffee manager, in charge of the coffee ordering, drink recipes and training new and old employees. As of now I am learning the coffee industry in San Diego making as many friends as possible at different cafes and roasters I can, learning as much as I can. I think it would be a dream to be able to travel and work at different cafes because it would combine two of my favorite things, traveling and coffee.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
The artistic touch and the social aspect of most cafes
