What is your position in the coffee industry?
barista, manager
Where are you located? ( City and Country )
Hollywood, USA
How many years have you been in the industry?
4
If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?
yes
Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
I've worked in a cafe for about 4 years now. I started as a line cook and worked my way up to cashier, then to barista, and finally to shift manager. I spent most of my time at Buffalo, NY premier cafe - Spot Coffee. I now live in CA and work at a cafe in Hollywood. I am very confident in running and overseeing an entire cafe. While I was a shift manager I supervised 7-10 employees per shift. I can do latte art, although its not amazing it is impressive. I have a passion for what I do and I would like to expand my experiences.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
Right now I would like to stay in the greater LA area. However, in the future I will be looking to travel.
About Me:
I am a very confident and hardworking young lady. I have a passion for what I do and I take pride in my work. I thrive in fast paced/high demand environments; I have a lot of energy. Although I do have a lot of energy I know how to direct it in a positive manner which allows me to work to the best of my ability.
About My Company:
The most of my cafe experience was spent in Buffalo, NY at Spot Coffee (spotcoffee.com). I consider this place my home and all of my co-workers are my close friends. We worked really hard and we all loved what we did. Our cafe has recently started to take a huge interest in everything coffee culture. We are lucky enough to have our own roasters where we create signature varietals and espresso. We have started hosting barista jams as well as latte art competitions.
I recently moved to CA and I currently work at a cafe called Sabor y Cultura on Hollywood blvd. This cafe is very new and is not as established as Spot Coffee. Although the atmosphere is different, I am enjoying the new experience and the ability to help a new cafe create its roots.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
I love espresso and everything that surrounds it really. The culture, the taste, the possibilites, and the caffiene.
