The Sparrows Coffee Tea and Newsstand is a great shop located on Wealthy street in Grand Rapids. It's a great little shop that's about to celebrate it's 1 year anniversary.

About Me:
I'm an illustrator, graphic designer photographer and now barista. I've lived in Michigan my whole life; growing up on Grosse Ile then moving to Grand Rapids 8 years ago to attend Grand Valley State University.
About My Company:

Something interesting to probably no one but me.

This was taken from one of my favorite design sites, core77.com :

"...a new study by researchers [tested] to see if there was any connection between physical and emotional heat.
To their surprise, they found that people who held a cup of hot coffee for 10 to 25 seconds warmed to a perfect stranger. Holding a cup of iced coffee had the opposite effect."

Maybe this is why coffee shops have that laid back, just like home, sort of feel to them. I guess next time you're feeling stressed out. Take the time to hug a warm cup of coffee or tea with your hands, it'll calm you down some.
