This machine, believe it or not, 14 months. The water is particular hard in this location. The technician at CMA (Paolo) reckons it just about gets the Guiness Book record for the worsthe has seen. This picture is of course post the element being removed... it was chocker block filled with limescale

Limescale is the biggest KILLER of coffee machines.............

This is what happens when you do not regenerate/recharge your espresso machines water softener. This machine is in Bali, Indonesia, and while it is a San Marino I hasten to say it is not one of ours! The boiler was so full of limescale that the whole machine required a major overhaul.
